What key metrics should you be tracking? – Trajan King

What key metrics should you be tracking?

Famous management consultant Peter Drucker said, “What gets measured, gets managed.”  This is one of my favorite sayings because it’s very relevant to startups, especially given our ability to measure just about everything we want to – both online and often even offline. These measurements are “KPIs” or Key Performance Indicators and they are the key metrics you should be tracking.

With so many ways to measure and things to measure, what should we focus on?

Let’s discuss a few of them in the video below.

In a previous episode we shared the results we got from tracking and using some metrics to change our website.

Timeline:

0:55 – What are vanity metrics?
1:25 – Why KPIs should be your focus.
2:10 – Some of the most important KPIs.
2:25 – KPIs to track on your website and how to improve them.
